A satellite naviation proceduree is used to determine the location of a receiver (1) running under water, the torpedo drawing along with it at least one satellite receiver antenna. Pref. the torpedo has one antenna (2) attached to the nose and one (2) to its tail, the two antennae being on the water surface. The antennas may be attached by lines, and the evaluation of the received signals be due to an evaluator on board the torpedo, the transmission between antenna and evaluator being by cable. The receiver antenna may be in a gas filled envelope transparent to satellite signals. ADVANTAGE - No target-reflected or produced signals needed. |
