Chain-pad removal system for crawler chain - uses bracket with stops for pad extraction and immediate replacement

The process is for replacement of a removable chain pad fitted to a crawler chain. The pad consists of a rubber block with a vulcanised metal plate. It engages with rails in the chain link, and the plate has a lower elastic detent pawl. There is a bracket to extract the chain pad. A holder supporting itself on the link, has a support stop and a release device acting on the pawl. The bracket (15) has a front stop (17), engaging with the front of the chain pad (3). The holder (18) has a second support stop (20). When the front stop applies a pressure on the chain pad in direction of insertion, an opposite support force is generated, and the release device (23), is supported on the chain link.
