The locking device is for the target detector (14) extended from the inactive position through a window (12) in a subsidiary ammunition body (10) into the working position, and has a pin (68) protruding from the parachute housing and working with the detector. A non-circular stop (26) at one window edge (24) turns on its lengthwise axis (32) between the holding and free positions. Clear of this stop there is a recess (58) in the body (10) at the side (44) towards the parachute housing accommodating a spring (60) and a striker (62) in line with the pin in the axial direction, its end (64) protruding from the recess, into which it retracts when the spring (60) is loaded. A spring component (48) coupled to the stop bears against this protruding end in the working position, and against the pin when the body is assembled with the parachute housing.
