<p>PURPOSE:To reduce shock on a passenger by performing acceleration uniformly when the accelerator is at the accelerating side and performing quick deceleration according to the difference between the operating amount of accelerator and vehicle speed when the accelerator is at the decelerating side. CONSTITUTION:When an accelerator 8 is turned ON and the set speed exceeds over the vehicle speed, i.e., when a control circuit 15 detects operation of the accelerator 8 in the accelerating direction, the control circuit 15 increases the value of PWM one by one thus increasing the vehicle speed gradually to the set speed through uniform acceleration. When the operating amount of the accelerator 8 is reduced and the set speed drops below the vehicle speed, i.e., when the control circuit 15 detects operation of the accelerator 8 in decelerating direction, the control circuit 15 increases the decelerating amount according to the difference between the operating amount of the accelerator 8 and the vehicle speed thus performing quick deceleration, and the deceleration is relieved when the vehicle speed drops. By such an arrangement, acceleration and deceleration can be carried out smoothly without applying considerable shock on the passenger.</p> |
