Solar energy assisted heat exchanger - uses hot waste water and can be installed on existing buildings
摘要
Ab alcove (1) is constructed on the external wall of a building which extends from ground level to the eaves level of the roof. The alcove to be built on the side of the house which receives the most sunchine and alcove has glazing (2) on the front and an energy absorbing profile section running the full height inside. Inside the concave alcove on either side mirror surfaces formed from mirror tiles reflect the sun rays onto the absorbing material. Ducts lead through the walls at each floor level and warm air passes into each room and circulates through conviction process. Pipe work leads from the external heat collection system described to the interior of the building where the internal insulated cylindrical shaped water storage cistern whcih has a dia. exceeding 800 mm is contained. The cistern extends through several storey heights to the upper floor levels. On the lower half a heat transfer assembly of coiled pipes passes hot waste water from bathrooms and kitchens through the cistern and the cooled wastewater is then led to a drainage system a heating circuit leads to each wall and ceiling area. The cistern is additionally heated by heat pumps. Heat energy from the external heat collector is also utilised by means of hot water produced a perforated baffle plate is built in to act as a agitation retarder in the cistern the storage walls of the cistern will act as a heating radiator with the use of air ducts built into the walls of the rooms. USE/ADVANTAGE - Domestic and commercial heating with efficient use of solar energy and use of hot waste water. Reduction of energy requirements of building.
