<p>PURPOSE:To prevent danger, such as runaway, due to disconnection of signal line by setting the output voltage of a variable resistor, which ranges between values corresponding respectively to OFF operation and full operation of accelerator, higher than the ground level and lower than the applying voltage. CONSTITUTION:A variable resistor VR is connected through signal lines l1-l3 with a control circuit 15 and produces a voltage V which is obtained by dividing a voltage VCC. The control circuit 15 determines the running speed corresponding to the voltage V based on the setting of a speed setting switch and sets the full operation voltage VH of accelerator higher than the voltage VCC while sets the OFF operation voltage VL of accelerator higher than the ground level. Upon disconnection of the signal line l1 or l2, voltage V having ground level is fed to the control circuit 15 while upon disconnection of the signal line l3, voltage having same magnitude as the voltage VCC is fed to the control circuit thus judging the disconnection.</p> |
