The fastening arrangement is for floor covering in a vehicle. It is for adjacent parts such as the central console of a motor vehicle in which the lining component (6) is provided with an edge made of plastics material. An essentially continuous flexible receiving groove (2) is provided along the corresponding part of the vehicle, and the plastics edge is formed as a retaining strip (9) with a continuous sprung engagement section (10) which can be pressed into the groove. USE/ADVANTAGE - Fastening arrangement of attractive appearance which readily allows the removal and subsequent replacement of a vehicle floor covering.
