BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE AMIDE DERIVATIVES Benzamide derivatives of the general formula (I) : (I) wherein R is C2-C4 alkenyl or C2-C4 alkynyl, both optionally substituted by lower alkyl, halogen or trialkylsilyl; E is CN or CSNH2; and Y is C1-C4 alkoxy, C3-C4 alkenyloxy, C3-C4 alkynyloxy, 1-pyrazolyl or 2-furyl, are useful as fungicides and exhibit plant growth regulating activity.
