PURPOSE: To provide optimum cushioning force in accordance with a load state of a vehicle by loading a cushioning medium outflow port of a by-pass passage by a control valve to be controlled in accordance with vibrational speed of a body and providing a check valve on the control valve. CONSTITUTION: When a piston rod 2 moves upward in the inside of a cylinder 1 with a cushioning piston 3, high pressure is automatically generated above the cushioning piston 3. A check valve 24 is automatically loaded by this high pressure. At the time when the piston rod 2 moves upward, a cushioning medium flows in a by-pass passage 4 through an outlet 9 of the by-pass passage 4. When the cushioning piston 3 moves downward, the cushioning medium flows toward a slider 15 of a check valve 25 through an outlet 10. Consequently, it is possible to provide optimum cushioning force in accordance with a load state of a vehicle. |
