Ignition timing circuit for engine - adjusts timing when fuel mixture is enriched for higher loads

The improved load capability of an engine is obtained by sensors which monitor the louding and controls which enrich the fuel/air mixture if the load demands remain longer than a programmed time interval. The system computes the new firing point, for the enriched mixture, and sets the actual firing point between this and the normal running point. The actual firing point is obtained by a retardation circuit in the CPU. The loading of the engine is determined by monitoring the engine speed and the fuel injection rates. Simple timing circuits monitor both parameters. ADVANTAGE - Improved engine control, less risk of knocking.
