The single circuit relay valve acts as a trailer control valve or a trailer brake valve. It is esp. for compressed air braking systems on vehicles, and has a control piston (49) and a separate reaction piston (8) with a balancing surface (24). The relay valve has an outlet valve seat (15) arranged on the control piston to form with a double valve body (30) an outlet valve which for the adjustment of the rapid action movement of the relay valve is axially displaceable on the control piston. USE/ADVANTAGE - Relay valve in which the adjustability of the rapid action response is simplified and which gives an audible warning to the driver in the event of seal failure.
