<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorizing agent capable of decomposing malodorous components rapidly by making up at least a member selected from the oxides of specific metals and silicon, calcium peroxide and/or sodium percarbonate and the active carbon having a surface pH not below 7. CONSTITUTION:At least a member selected from the oxides of titanium, manganese, iron, magnesium, aluminum and silicon, calcium peroxide and/or sodium percarbonate, preferably with the wt. ratio of about 1 to 0.2-5 and the active carbon having so high a surface area as at least 600m<2>/g, preferably with the wt. ratio of about 30-90wt.% and the surface pH not below 7 are mixed up. The resulting preparation is shaped into the form of a powder or pellet, which is then filled in an air transmissible bag or container for refrigerator and toilet applications. The gas having an offensive odor may be passed forcibly through the layer of such deodorizing agent or this deodorizing agent may be sprayed or added directly to the odor-causing sources, i.e., garbage, sludge, etc.</p> |
