PURPOSE:To extend a temp. range in which a toner can be fixed and to raise the thermal aggregation temp. of the toner by using a binding resin formed by mixing a low mol. wt. polymer of a vinyl monomer with a high mol. wt. polymer of the vinyl monomer in a specified ratio so that the chromatograph of the resin has one max. value in each of specified mol. wt. ranges. CONSTITUTION:A binding resin is formed by mixing a low mol. wt. polymer of a vinyl monomer with a high mol. wt. polymer of the vinyl monomer in 50:50-10:90 ratio so that the chromatograph of the resin measured by a gel permeation method has one max. value in each of the mol. wt. ranges of 3,000-5,000 and 150,000-2,000,000. Since the low mol. wt. polymer is present in the binding resin, min. fixing temp. and fixing nip pressure can be reduced and grindability is improved. Since the high mol. wt. polymer is present in the binding resin, anti-offsetting property can be rendered to a toner. A temp. range in which the toner can be fixed is extended and the thermal aggregation temp. of the toner is raised. |
