PURPOSE:To enable emergency information to be outputted even when a fault occurs by performing a processing by switching an output request destination to another external output device registered on a system environmental table when no output request for the external output device designated at initialization or the one validated afterwards is satisfied. CONSTITUTION:When the output request relating to the output of the emergency information is generated in a work station 1-1, an output request processing means 12 refers to the system environmental table 11, and issues the output request to a printer 1 being connected currently. When much time is required due to the processing for another request or the output request is infeasible to process due to the fault, a table updating means 13 changes the connection of the printer 1 in the system environmental table 11 to disconnection, and changes a printer 2 with the next highest priority to the connection. The output request processing means 12 refers to the system environmental table 11 again, and issues the output request to the printer 2 being connected currently. Thereby, it is possible to output the emergency information even when the external output device is inoperable. |
