<p>PURPOSE:To grasp the life of a semiconductor device and to set up a standard for exchanging or reusing the device by storing the number of times for writing and erasing into the internal part of a chip. CONSTITUTION:A memory cell 1, output buffer 2, decoder 3, cell 4 to store the number of times for writing and erasing, and number of times for writing and erasing storage circuit 5 are included. The number of times for writing and erasing in an EEPROM is stored into the cell 4, which stores the number of times for writing and erasing from the number of times for writing and erasing storage circuit 5 in the internal part of the chip, and the number of times is fed back to the number of times for writing and erasing storage circuit 5. Thus, the number of times for writing and erasing can be stored in the internal part of the chip and the life of the device can be grasped.</p> |
