PURPOSE:To prepare a coupler medium sufficiently developing color forming capacity and low in manufacturing cost by supporting a resin having film forming temp. equal to or higher than atmospheric temp. and a coupler forming a color through the reaction with a dye precursor on a base material. CONSTITUTION:White coated paper is used as a base material 2 and a resin solution having a resin whose film forming temp. is 40 deg.C or more dispersed therein is applied to said base material 2 and dried at the film forming temp. of the resin or lower to form a resin layer 3. As the resin having film forming temp. of 40 deg.C or more, a straight chain polymer or copolymer of ethylene, propylene, acrylic acid, vinyl alcohol, maleic acid, fumaric acid, vinyl acetate or vinyl chloride is pref. After the resin layer 3 is supported by this method, a solution of a coupler in an org. solvent is applied to the resin layer 3 by a spray system and dried at the film forming temp. of the resin or lower. As the coupler 4, aromatic carboxylic acids, for example, benzoic acid, salicylic acid and derivatives thereof can be used. |
