Lighting bowl of the olympic type comprising two half-globes rotating about an axis, containing flames at the bottom and infrared/ultraviolet laser beams at the top. The invention relates to a lighting bowl, of the olympic type, which can be used for any displays in which the flames and the visible or invisible light beams are such as to represent a symbol, these beams being intended to modify the appearance of the flames (U.V. on red or blue flame, for example). A half-sphere (1), suspended by a support (5-) connected to a base (7-) which may or may not be rotating, contains the electrical elements necessary for producing ultraviolet (and/or) infrared (and/or) laser (and/or) projecting rays or beams. These beams or rays act on the nature or the colouration of the flames, preferably with chosen and varied colours, produced by an apparatus located in a lower half-sphere (2-). <IMAGE>
