The machine includes, for each type of piece of washing-up to be sorted, a sorting station (St1, St2, St3) consisting of an identification station (ID 1, ID 2, ID 3) and an ejection station (E1, E2, E3). The identification stations are associated with position sensors (C1, C2, C3) connected to the inputs of a logic unit (UL). When a piece of washing-up has geometrical criteria assigned to a given sorting station (St2), the corresponding output (S2) of the logic unit (UL) orders the ejection (Ej) of this piece by the corresponding ejection station (E2). <IMAGE>
