PURPOSE:To accurately bond the terminal parts of a tire constitutional material by a method wherein the tire constitutional material is supplied to a winding drum in such a state that both side edge parts thereof are clamped by a pair of grasping means opened and closed by the cams arranged to the side parts of a feed apparatus to be wound around said drum and the grasping means are successively released from the side edge parts of the tire constitutional material immediately before winding. CONSTITUTION:A tire constitutional material W having a predetermined length is placed on plates 3a constituting a chain conveyor and the clamp pawls 10 of the grasping means 7 moving along with the plates 3a grasp both side edge parts of the tire constitutional material W by the successive contact of rollers 13 with plate-shaped cams 6a, 6b to feed the tire constitutional material W toward a winding drum 4 to bond the leading end thereof to the under surface of the winding drum 4. Since the rollers 13 in contact with the top surfaces Z of the plate-shaped cams 6a, 6b move toward an inclined surface X, both side edge parts of the tire constitutional material W clamped by the clamp pawls 10 are released from the clamped state to successively wind the tire constitutional material W around the winding drum 4 driven in a rotary state under predetermined tension. The clamp pawls 10 released from a clamping state are reversed downwardly to be set to a standby state. |
