The shearing edge fastening for vertically and relatively movable theatre-stage-sections (1,2) has at least the higher section (1,2) possessing a downward-pointing, taut strip (6,7) near its shearing edge (3,4). When the two stage sections (1,2) are moved, the gap in height (21) between them is at least partly covered by the strip (6,7). The movement of the strip (6,7) is determined by a control (15) which interrupts the relative movement of the stage-sections (1,2). The strip (6,7) is made of fabric, netting, foam, plastics leather or paper. The bottom end of the strip (6,7) takes a metal pipe (13) the movement of which is transmitted to the limit switch (15)by means of a system of rods (12) linked to it. USE?ADVANTAGE - The shearing edges of the stage parts are made secure and the gap between them covered by a taut length of material.
