A leaf spring (16), supporting a vehicle fixed axle (18), has a main leaf (10) with one end rolled upwards to form a mounting loop (20). At least one further leaf (12), extending to beneath this loop, supports the main leaf. Both leaves are kinked at their end sections (10',12'), to lower the loop axis (34) w.r.t. the upper flat surface (32) of the main leaf. USE/ADVANTAGE - The lower leaf spring mounting point improves the vehicle understeer.
