PURPOSE:To prevent the thermal stress generating in the spool of the subject rotor by a method wherein, in the case where the spiral-shaped superconductive field coil wound around a spool is placed in the groove of a coil mounting shaft, a gap is provided between the spool and the groove at the circuit part of the coil. CONSTITUTION:After a race track-formed superconductive field coil 3 has been wound around the spool 3, the coil is placed in the groove 2a on the coil mounting shaft 2. At this time, a prescribed gap is provided between the groove 2a and spool 16 at the position corresponding to the circular part of the coil. Accordingly, the generation of thermal stress, caused by the difference between the thermal expansion and contraction of the spool 16 and the coil mounting shaft 2, can be prevented. |
