The solution concerns the preparation method of the heat-insulating part of mineral felt with one-sided or double-sided stiffening and water-resistant surface treatment from thermoplastic mass that is stiff and water-resistant under common temperatures. The plate from mineral felt with the volume weight between 100 and 200 kg x m <-3> inserted for the duration of 3 to 60 seconds into melted thermoplastic mass with cinematic viscosity between 10 <-4> and 10 <-3> x m <2> x s <-1> so that the depth of immersion would amount to 2 to 15 mm, whereupon it is extracted and turned by 180 degrees about its horizontal axis and it is kept until stiffening of the stiffening layer in this position.
