Steam motor which comprises a crankcase stand 1 arranged so as to rest on a base, a steam cylinder 25 supported by the crankcase stand, a cylinder bore 28 in the steam cylinder, a reciprocating piston 45 in the cylinder bore 28, a connecting rod 50 connected by one end to the piston by means of a piston rod 46, steam valves on the cylinder, a crankshaft 56 with cranks 57, 65 bearing a crank pin 63 for the other end of the connecting rod, and in the crankcase a number of main bearings 8 for rotation mounting of the crankshaft. The main bearing parts of the crankcase stand consist of a number of profiled beams, such as I-beams, including two horizontal beams 2 which between them support the main bearings 8 for the crankshaft 56, beams 12 projecting upwards from each of the horizontal beams, forming pillars for supporting a plate with a hole 14 for the cylinder 25, and beams 15 between the upright beams, for bracing the upright beams. The plate is arranged so as to support in its hole 14 the cylinder 25 in the form of a unit which projects with a guide down into the hole 14. <IMAGE> |
