The wire rope consists of outer strands (1), inner strands (2) and a core strand (3). The outer and inner strands consists of single-layer strans with e.g. 1+6 wires, which are compressed during mfr. The core strand can consists of multi-layer strands with compressed outer strands. The single-layer strands inside the rope are compressed in dia. during mfr. by at least 20 percent less than the single-layer strands in the outer strands. With 50 percent redn., the bending capacity of the rope at the centre increase by 20 percent. ADVANTAGE - Capacity and service life are improved.
