The connecting rod (16) for adjusting the pivot angle of a shaft (2) in relation to a drive wheel (3), especially the cam shaft of a combustion engine. The adjustment (4) is positioned between the drive wheel (3) and the shaft (2) and has a control (6) on the machine housing parts (5). The connecting rod's (16) end is connected to the disc flange (19) of a pivot link (17). The disc flange (19) is in the form of a separate component with spherical slide surfaces (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - The disc flange is connected to the connecting rod with no play between them, and at the same time equalises any angular disparity between the adjustment and control.
