The plug (4) has an elliptical tubular contact carrier (6) whose outer wall (7) contains diametricall-opposed locking grooves (8) for circular pins (23) shifted radially within the housing (11) of the elliptical socket (5). This is surrounded by a two-part axial slider (35) with a groove in the stepped end of each part. Projections from both parts bear upon the halves of the ring (31) which are deflected when the slider (35) is assembled into the housing (11). USE/ADVANAGE - Esp. in LV automotive electronic circuits. Reliable connection is guaranteed by inexpensive and easily installed device occupying little space.
