PURPOSE:To preheat a work simultaneously with welding and to improve the welding quality and the productivity by reflecting a laser beam leaking from a butt part of the work and executing laser welding, while preheating the work. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam LB radiated from a nozzle 23 of a laser beam machining head 21 leaks from a butt part of a work piece W and irradiates the curved surface 87 of a reflecting mirror 85 and reflected. The reflected laser beam LB heats the work piece W from the rear face. Accordingly, a heating equipment such as a heater placed separately, etc., is not required, it is unnecessary to bring the laser beam LB to scanning by using the same laser beam machining head 21 before welding, the time is shortened, and the productivity and the quality can be improved. |
