PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium stable against environmental light and repeated reproduction light and having good humidity resistance by providing a recording layer containing a specific light stabilizing org. dye on a transparent substrate. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer 3 containing a light stabilizing org. dye composed of a conjugate of an anion of an electron acceptive azo metal complex compound and a cyanin dye cation having absorption in the wavelength region of recording light is provided on a transparent substrate 1. As mentioned above, by providing the recording layer 3 containing the light stabilizing org. dye composed of the conjugate of the anion of the electron acceptive azo metal complex compound and the cyanin dye cation having absorption in the wavelength region of recording light, the optical recording medium stable against environmental light and repeated reproduction light and having good humidity resistance is obtained. |
