PURPOSE:To discriminate a work condition for whether it is good or bad in the real time without performing sampling inspection of work-finished disks by measuring a work residual quantity by a grinding means and specifying a work speed with a grinding condition for a workpiece. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece (magnetic disk) 1 is ground by grinding tapes 9, and a work residual quantity, which adheres to a position of these grinding tapes 9, is measured as a quantity of light from a light receiver 11 and displays for the work time. A work speed is grasped by measuring a contact time of the grinding tape 9 with the workpiece under a condition not more than the adhering saturation time of work residue to this grinding tape 9, and a work condition is discriminated for whether it is good or bad by the real time. |
