MULTISTAGE NETWORK CONTROLLER AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: To remove limit in the performance of a large scale network by storing busy/idle information specified on a stage by the use of an individual memory corresponding to each stage and simultaneously combining the search of a route. CONSTITUTION: A crossover network controller 1300 is used for the route search, connection and disconnection of a network 1200 through plural stage controllers 1201 to 1209 annexted to stages 4 to 12. Connection processing is started when the input/output pair of the network 1200 to an applied connection request is stored in a queue and the input and output are converted into input and output numbers corresponding to a shuffle network topologically equivalent to the network 1200. Consequently whether an available route for the connection request intersects with a certain available route for another connection request or not is judged.
