PURPOSE:To clean up the surface of an objective lens as required by turning an arm which connects pivotally a cleaning brush after cleaning to the outside of an optical disk centering a rotary board. CONSTITUTION:An optical head 1 is moved and stopped at a cleaning position decided in advance by using an access function, and a tracking function and a focusing function are set at locked states. Next, the arm 32 connected pivotally to the rotary board 33 is turned in a direction of arrow head B, and the outer edge of the cleaning brush 2 connected pivotally with the arm 32 is connected slidably to the outer edge of an optical disk 4, and also, the arm 32 is positioned and fixed at a position where a side opposite to a slidable connection point is also connected slidably to a hard transparent plate 6. When the optical disk 4 is rotated at that position, it is driven rotatably setting the outer edge of the optical disk 4 to which the outer edge of the cleaning brush 2 is connected slidably as driving source by rotating the optical disk 4, and also, the surface of the hard transparent plate 6 can be cleaned up. The cleaning brush 2 is separated from the optical disk 4 by turning the arm 32 in a direction opposite to that of arrow head B at a time when the cleaning is completed, then, it is fixed at a prescribed housing position. |
