PURPOSE:To hold the contents of a memory used right before a microcomputer system is reset and at the same time to selectively read out those contents by preparing plural read/write memories which are used for restart of the system and switching the memories used when the system is reset. CONSTITUTION:If a fault occurs when a microcomputer system is operated by a system 2a, the system is reset by a reset signal 6. Then a sequential memory switch means 3 switches the memory 2a to a memory 3b that receives an access. Thus a processor 1 has an access to the memory 2b and the system is restarted. Then the processor 1 writes the selection data to a register 4 to read out the memory 2a for study of the fault factor. Thus the memory 2a is read out with use of the selection data stored in the data 4 and a read signal 7. |
