This interior ironwork system for supporting shelves, cupboards 18 and other objects connected to a wall 10, 20, 30 supports each individual object separately vis-à- vis the wall by means of support pegs 45a or support hooks 42 facing obliquely outwards and downwards from the rear side of the object through equivalent fastening holes 17 formed in load-absorbing support means. Each support means consists of a panel which forms a section of a wall or panel 13, 33 which includes a wall section, with fastening holes 17 formed in vertical and horizontal rows in the panel 13, 33 and arranged in a specific modular system a, b in the panel, preferably with the material of the panel itself as sole fastening for support pegs 45a or support hooks 42 for the associated objects. The possibility exists of equipping a wall surface with a modular system of fastening holes for fastening various types of objects in a relatively flexible manner. <IMAGE>
