PURPOSE:To make it possible to surely bring synthetic resin tube into tight contact with the inner surface of existing tube without using adhesive or the like by a method wherein an expanding jig, in front of which a traction hose is provided, is proceeded by pressing the inner surface of lining material under the condition that the temperature of the atmosphere in the existing tube is held at a temperature, which is higher than the shape restoring temperature and lower than the shape memory temperature. CONSTITUTION:Heated water is blasted in lining material 2 out of a large number of small holes, which are provided near the attaching part of a traction hole 11 to an expanding jig 10. Thus, the temperature of atmosphere in the part 2a of lining material 2 at the tip of the expanding jig is raised up to a temperature, which is higher than the shape restoring temperature and lower than the shape memory temperature of resin pipe 3 and, after that, the resultant temperature of atmosphere is maintained. By pulling the expanding jig 10 in the part 2a of the softened resin pipe 3, the part 2a of the resin pipe 3 is pressed by the expanding jig 10 so as to be expanded outwards by said pressing force and the shape restoring force of the resin pipe 3. After that, by proceeding the expanding jig 10 in the lining material 2 under the condition that heated water is fed from the traction hose 11, the part 2a of the resin pipe 3 is proceeded while delivering the air and stagnant water existing between existing tube 1 and the resin pipe 3, resulting in restoring its perfect pipe-like shape. |
