This invention describes an anode for producing oxygen from acid solutions containing anionic fluorocomplexes such as tetrafluoroborates and hexafluorosilicates, the said anode being of the type comprising a sintered ceramic powder conducting substrate which resists corrosion and an electrocatalytic coating. The said substrate comprises tin dioxide doped with additives intended to assist sintering and increase electrical conductivity. The coating comprises manganese dioxide and oxides of transition elements of the lanthanide series used individually or as a mixture and doped with additives designed to increase resistance to corrosion and electrical conductivity. |
