The first seal for sealing the opening (2) of the plate (1) or the front panel, is formed of a lower cap (7) with a ring shaped base (8), through the opening of which, the housing (3) of the safety switch penetrates in the working position, and with a raised up side wall (9) or only a sealing ring (11). The second seal consists of an upper cap (12) gripping around the flange (6) with a closed cap end (13) and a side wall (14) running around it. With the use of two caps (7, 12), both of the caps are positioned mutually sealed (Fig. 1, 2 and 5). Compared to this using only one upper cap (12) in conjunction with a sealing ring (11), the upper sealing cap (12) is fitted so that it seals on the flange (6), Fig. 3, 4). The ring shaped base (8) of the lower cap (7) is provided at the underside with a concentric sealing ridge (10). USE/ADVANTAGE - Spray water protected appliance safety switch. Gives simple and reliable sealing of front panel opening also housing including sealing caps, against spray water and dirt.
