Input systems for office workstations, for example for intelligent typewriters, are known by means of which, in addition to text, graphics components can also be generated and output. In this arrangement, the input keyboard and the input area for the graphics input are arranged next to one another, separate control units being provided for the text and for the graphics output. These disadvantages are avoided by actually combining a keyboard and a graphics tablet and the sensor function of the graphics module can also be handled by the tablet module. This can considerably reduce the space requirement for a workstation designed in this manner compared with the arrangements. The special functions of separate cursor control devices such as, for example, of the mouse are also handled by the tablet functions. ��
