<p>A system for controlling the machining speed of numerically controlled machining by interpolating an involute curve. A curvature is found from an equation of an involute curve (S3); decision whether the curvature is smaller than a predetermined value or not is made (S4); and, when it is smaller than the predetermined value, the machining speed is decreased depending on an over-ride value (S5, S6, S7). The radius of curvature becomes small near a base circle of the involute curve, and no favorably machined surface can be obtained at the tangential speed. Therefore, the machining speed is decreased by the over-ride value.</p> |
