<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a consistently excellent fuel injection performance by providing two valve members seated in respective valve seats with a spring force, and large or small controlling an exciting current of a single solenoid coil to open each valve in turn. CONSTITUTION: A solenoid coil 12 is stored in a housing 14 into which air of specified pressure is introduced from an inlet member 20, and a valve member 50, linked to an armature 72 serving as an electromagnetic drive means including a solenoid coil 12 through an actuating rod 56, is provided in an injector body 18 into which high pressure fuel introduced from an inlet member 22. The body 18 is formed with an annular hollow 26 wherein the inlet member 22 opens. The annular hollow 26 communicates with the inside of the housing 14 with a passage 30 through a valve seat 32, and a tapered armature valve member 36 is made to be freely seated/separated to/from the valve seat 32. At the time of small energizing of the coil 12, the valve member 36 is actuated to separate from the valve seat 32, and at the time of sequential large energizing, the valve member 50 is actuated to separate from a valve seat 48.</p> |
