发明名称 NON-AQUEOUS SECONDARY BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To make the reversibility of lithium occlusion and desorption in charge-discharge process of the title battery excellent charge-discharge capacity high, and voltage of the battery stable by specifying X-ray diffraction pattern of a Li.Mn composite oxide composing a cathode. CONSTITUTION:The title battery is comprised of an anode 1 of a Li-Pd alloy, a separator 2 of a polypropylene unwoven cloth, a cathode 3, and an electrolyte of a LiPF6 in propylene carbonate solution impregnated in the separator. Those components are sealed with an anode side case 4, a gasket 5, and a cathode case 6. The X-ray diffraction pattern of a Li.Mn composite oxide composing the cathode 3 is prescribed to have a formula I. With the condition, since the Li.Mn composite oxide has cation sites of Li and Mn voids, Li can be inserted in the sites and thus high capacity is obtained. Also, because of the firm crystallinity to Li occlusion and desorption, volume expansion owing to Li insertion hardly occurs and reversibility of charge-discharge cycles is thus made good, capacity of battery voltage near 3V to Li standard is increased, and stability of the voltage is improved.
