PURPOSE:To easily obtain stable thrust of excavation by connecting excavating jacks to supporting parts of grippers through power assist mechanisms while driving out the grippers to the sideward by the power assist mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:Jacks 3, 3' are mounted to a base 1A in a driving part 1 for a cutter head 2. Next grippers 5, 5', protrudably-retractably guided to the sideward by a structural unit 4, are provided behind the jacks 3, 3'. Then the grippers 5, 5, are connected to rods 3A, 3A' of the excavating jacks 3, 3' respectively through power assist mechanisms 6, 6'. The power assist mechanisms 6, 6' are pin-connected to supporting units 5A, 5A' in the inside of the grippers 5, 5' and to support protruding parts 4A, 4A', provided in a cylindrical part 4B of the structural unit 4, respectively through links 7, 7' and 8, 8', and the gripper 5 is spread to the outer side by moving the rods 3A, 3A' to the rearward. |
