TREATING METHOD OF CELLULOSIC FIBER

PURPOSE:To prevent reducing of tearing strength and impart durable flexibility to cellulosic fiber by treating said cellulosic fiber with copolymerized emulsion comprising mixture of specific organopolysiloxane, (meth)acrylic monomer and other specific monomer. CONSTITUTION:(A) 5-95 pts.wt. O/W emulsion organosiloxane expressed by formula I (R<1> to R<3> are 1-20C monofunctional hydrocarbon group or monofunctional halogenated hydrocarbon group; Y is radical reactive group, etc.; X is H or monofunctional alkyl, etc.; m<=10<4>; n>=1) is mixed with (B) 95-5 pts.wt. monomer mixture of 70-100wt.% (meth)acrylic monomer expressed by formula II (R<5> is H or methyl; R<6> is 1-18C alkyl, etc.), 0-20wt.% monomer such as ethylenic unsaturated amide and 0-20wt.% ethylenic unsaturated monomer other than the above-mentioned and subjected to emulsion polymerization in the presence of radical polymerization initiator to afford the aimed fiber-treating agent composed of copolymerized emulsion. Cellulosic fiber is treated with said treating agent to impart lubricating property and prevent reduction of tearing strength after cleaning.
