<p>A polyester fiber mainly comprising repeating units of ethylene terephthalate and a method of producing the same, wherein a compound represented by general formula (1), (2) or (3) is added as a melt viscosity depressant. It now becomes possible to lower the melt viscosity without lowering the limiting viscosity and to facilitate the spinning of a polyester with a high melt viscosity, thus giving a high-strength fiber.</p> |
