PURPOSE:To increase a memory capacity by using a magneto-optical recording medium or phase change type recording medium for a reflecting material for tracking and using an org. dyestuff recording medium for a flattening layer. CONSTITUTION:The large-capacity disk 10 is formed by successively laminating the flattening layer 24, a magneto-optical recording layer 16 and a protective layer 18 on a disk substrate 12. The substrate 12 is formed by fixing the reflecting material 22 for tracking which has an adequate reflectivity and is the magneto-optical or phase change type recording medium to function as a recording medium onto a glass substrate 20. The org. dyestuff recording medium is used for the layer 14. The recording of information on the reflecting material 22 is executed by constituting the disk in such a manner. Reproducing of the information is possible by a change in reflectivity. The recording and reproducing are executed by an Ar laser of 5,140Angstrom wavelength when a fulgide compd. is used as the layer 14. The recording and reproducing of the respectively independent pieces of the information on and from not only the layer 16 but also the reflecting material 22 and the layer 14 are, therefore, possible. |
