PURPOSE:To prevent the evaporation of a processing soln., the lowering of the temp. of the soln. and the deterioration of degeneration of the soln. such as oxidation by forming a loop of a photosensitive material between a pair of first rolls and a pair of second rolls in a processing vessel and processing the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material S forms a U-shaped loop (natural loop) over the entire length between first rolls 41 and second rolls 42 in the processing vessel 2 of a device 1 for processing a photosensitive material and is processed by immersion in a processing soln. 3. In accordance with the progress of continuous processing of the photosensitive material S, the processing soln. 3 is brought out and the amt. of the soln. 3 in the vessel 2 is reduced. A fresh processing soln. is replenished to the vessel 2 by an amt. corresponding to the reduction and the intrusion of air into the vessel 2 from the inlet 21 and the outlet 22 is prevented. Since the inlet 21 and the outlet 22 are sealed with sealing means 7, the processing soln. 3 does not escape from the inlet 21 and the outlet 22 even when the device 1 is vibrated. The evaporation of the processing soln., the lowering of the temp. of the soln. and the deterioration and degeneration of the soln. can be prevented. |
