The burner is mfd. from a sheet metal strip, in which the end walls are first formed by stamping. A longitudinal ridge (34) is then formed by bending the strip and the edges (43,44) are turned outwards. A longitudinal trough is formed by deep drawing, and the sides (71,72) of the strip are double folded to form the lower edges (47,48) so that the ridge edges are turned inwards. Transverse slots are formed in the bottom of the deep drawn recess, and the sheet metal is folded outwards to form slots for the outflow of the air-gas mixt. ADVANTAGE - No need for combining components, forming the combustion chamber.
