PURPOSE: To make a recording material high sensitive by specifying an exposure necessary for the discharge of a recording layer containing a p-type pigment and a specific n-type material. CONSTITUTION: The p-type pigment preferably composed of an x-type non-metal phthalocyanine and the n-type charge transfer material of one or more kinds of an aromatic monoketone, an aromatic polyketone, a cyanoalkylene compound are incorporated in the photoconductive recording layer capable of electrifying the recording material positive. And the recording layer is formed to have 4-40μm thickness by incorporating 0.0001-15wt.% n-type material and 5-40wt.% p-type pigment in an organic polymer binder having >=10<14>Ω-cm volume resistivity. Further, the difference of the exposure necessary for respectively discharging 10% and 90% of the electrostatically charged recording layer is controlled to <5 times.
