A spray booth including a channel for spray-painting objects conveyed through the channel in a continuous or intermittent manner as set forth in Specification 935,857 in which the bottom of the channel is V-shaped and terminates into a longitudinal opening for discharging the ventilating air directly to a drip separator which is of substantially the same length as the channel and is connected to suction means for the ventilating air, further comprises means for the supply of a cleaning liquid introduced into the channel in such manner that it is caused to sweep over the V-shaped bottom in the form of a covering liquid film, the bottom of the channel being shaped in such manner that the opening is directed at one side towards an outlet shaft located to the side of the channel and serving as drip separator. The drip separator may be provided with baffle plates and a further cleaning liquid supply. There may be two openings in the V-shaped bottom, one directed to each side.
