1,247,440. Time switches. HOLZERPATENT A.G. 10 March, 1969 [9 March, 1968 (2)], No. 12494/69. Heading H1N. A printed-circuit board 1 is used as the support, on opposite sides respectively, for a programme-switching wheel (9) and a coaxial reversal control wheel 8 of a washing-machine programmer, and also carries electrical components 4, 6, as well as a common drive motor 20 and pawls 22 and 21 for phase-displaced stepping of the respective wheels 8 and 9. The wheels 8 and 9 carry cams 10, 11, 12 acting on contact sets (14, 17, Fig. 1, not shown), directly or via follower arms such as 13, and also carry brushes (18, 19) engaging contact segments on the respective faces of the board 1. Alternatively, the board 1 may carry the brushes which then co-operate with contacts and conductor rings on the inner faces of the wheels 8 and 9. Electromagnets 28, 29 may be provided for control of the stepping by pawls 21 and 22, respectively, the pawls being operated out of phase by eccentrics 23 and 24 driven by the common motor 20. |
